Check out this gorgeous salty, BBC Rio Grande. This German vessel currently arrived in Becancour from Lake Michigan to load for overseas. I got these shots as the Rio Grande passed in front of Boldt Castle in Alexandria Bay.

A cargo vessel can be a lovely sight. Seeing these things up close while they are under load is truely a magnificent sight.

I’ve seen this ship a few times on the St. Clair River loaded with huge white tubes. Does anyone know what the tubes are for? My mother-in-law thinks it’s supplies for wind turbines, but I don’t think so. Just curious.
