Hermione Update

Remember Hermione, the 1925 Elco?  Jody Reynolds, one of the Owners, sent us some photos that Gretchen Coyle had taken.   The first one is Mike Wright and Jody Reynolds, watching the Marshall Cat regatta at famous Useppa Island (on the SW coast of Florida). This was one of the few warm days of the winter.  The second was shot as Hermione arrived at Little Egg Harbor, NJ, after her passage from southwest FL.

The Hermione is a nice looking vessel. What guidance system does it have on board?

  2. Anthony Scott Says:

Hermione deserves a spot in the “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous” or somewhere similar because it is superbly stunning and to think that this vessel has been around for sometime now.

I was a son-in-law to Milton and Eleanor Ragsdale in the 1970s and 1980s during which time I worked and lived on Hermione. When I recently posted a video of a cruise we made in August 1990 I searched on a whim “Elco motor yacht Hermione” and sadly learned of her loss by fire. But I was gladdened to learn also that the subsequent owners loved her as much as we did and that she enjoyed a “fulfilling” life of cruising and served with great honor due a lady of such exquisitely refined distinction.
